The quest to find Holy Grail beauty products is paved with trial and error, but sometimes it introduces you to amazing products! I’ve been feeling very comfortable with my makeup collection lately, and I figure that’s enough of an excuse to share a couple of my most used cruelty-free beauty products as of late.
For those of you living under a rock, my blog recently underwent a total blog redesign! After about a week of putting my site on hiatus, I spent a good amount of time tinkering and toying with the CSS until everything was exactly the way I envisioned. I’m pretty jazzed about this new blog design, if you couldn’t tell, and I’ve also queued up some great posts for the launch. I feel like this blog redesign is a great way to get psyched for Spring, and what better way to do that than with pops of coral all over the place?
I wasn’t expecting to write a blog post on “Blazers for the Busty” and yet here we are. Normally when I think of wearing blazers I can’t help but feel a little uncomfortable. Perhaps it’s because I’m a little more on the busty side and I’ve never had much luck when it comes to finding blazers that want to cooperate with my bosom. For the busty ladies out there who dread wearing blazers: fear not, for I have found a stylish solution!
Adventures in Cruelty-Free Nail Polish
A couple of days ago, I really felt like giving myself a manicure. Since the majority of my nail polishes are all tucked away in storage and I simply couldn’t be bothered to rummage around for them, I was determined to find some cruelty-free nail polish at the drugstore. Wet ‘n Wild was the obvious choice (and the most affordable, to be honest), and I’ll admit that I was super skeptical about the quality of the nail polish.
It’s no secret that Lush makes the best bath bombs around, but what you guys didn’t know is that I’ve never actually bought any for myself! In the spirit of relaxation and being in dire need for a long overdue “pamper-sesh,” I made the trek out to my local Lush shop to see what they had in store.
What’s up with the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick?
The beauty community is buzzing over the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks, so naturally… I had to get my hands on one of my own! Having a birthday is the perfect excuse to splurge on a high-end lipstick, right? Well, let’s just call that my excuse, then. After having seen so many blog posts and video reviews on UD’s new lipsticks, I had already had a few shades in mind before I ended up with this shade in particular…
Before I get a little carried away with this review of two Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows, let me give you a bit of context for this splurge.
Since it’s summer, one of my favorite things to do is sweep a bit of cream eye shadow over my lids, fill out my lashes with mascara, and slap on some lip gloss. There are only a few things I hate about the majority of the cream shadows I’ve tried and it all comes down to whether or not they crease, and how easy they are to apply.
If you’ve watched my latest video titled Beauty Busts & Beauty Musts, you’ll remember that I said I didn’t really get along with the Maybelline Color Tattoos in the colors Bad to the Bronze and Too Cool. My aversion to the Maybelline Color Tattoos is mainly the fact that both products I had purchased were really drying and difficult to work with once you got them on the lid. Although, saying that, they did last a really long time, but that’s really the only thing they had going for them in my book.
So, unfortunately, I hadn’t found a cream shadow that was meeting my expectations of what a long-wearing cream eyeshadow should be… Until I found these bad boys. Continue Reading
It’s been a while, but I’m back with an Effortless Makeup Routine that I’ve perfected for the Summer months. I also threw in a handful of helpful tips and tricks, so stay tuned for those bad boys!
